Kansas City, MO., (Oct. 6, 2025) – Farm Journal, U.S. agriculture’s leading business information and data insights company, has named Ron McCoy as executive vice president, intelligence. He will lead the company’s Intelligence Center of Excellence, developing systems that provide actionable agriculture knowledge and working with clients to understand, integrate and act on that knowledge to better serve their agricultural audiences.
McCoy brings executive-level leadership and artificial intelligence (AI) experience with media and B2B e-commerce companies to the position, with expertise in product development, strategic operations and emerging technologies. He previously served as chief digital architect of The New York Times, chief technology officer of About.com (now People) and in various technology and financial leadership roles at startups and other media companies.

McCoy most recently worked on launching an editorially overseen AI content-creation startup, starting in the agriculture space. Innovation has been a driver throughout his career, as he holds patents on five technology products.
